THE JOURNEY HOME
The Darkest Night
Event
The old calendar was defined by the cycles of the sun and the moon.
More often than not, important celebrations were tied to the full or new moons, closest to the important turnings of the sun.
The Winter Solstice of 2025 falls on the 21th of December. Its closest New Moon falls on the 20th of December.
The sun is at its darkest
and the moon is too....
We'll gather in darkness to celebrate the victory of the Sun, the godess Sol.
May she bring light and prosper to the cycle to come.

Intention
At the darkest night in the darkest time, we stand together in a circle of light.
With deep respect for the land and the ancestors, we commune with nature and the spiral that connect us all.
On the eve of the returning of Mother Sun, we understand that all grows from darkness.
Skrivergaarden Nordfjordeid
Join us in the beautiful historical surroundings of Skrivergaarden in Nordfjord, Norway.

About Re-Wild
At Re-Wild Retreats we follow the spiral of the year, the solstices and equinoxes, the dance of the moon, and the old Nordic and Celtic calendar. With our unique concept of Kundalini X Paganism, we offer a guiding hand on your way back to your place in nature, your re-wilding journey.
Following the road from our ancient Indo-European roots, we walk the path from yoga into deep connection with our own soil through European spirituality. Our approach is deeply animistic; we honour the nature beings, the old gods, and the universe that is within us and all. We work with ritual and ceremony, the sacred drum, and the secrets buried in our spine to free ourselves and come home.
We welcome you to journey with us.
What if you got the chance to resynchronise yourself and claim your rightful place in the cycle of life and universe?
Would you take it?
Kundalini X Paganism?
Do you want to learn more about this (maybe strange) concept?
I promise you are going to like it ♥!

About Ellen
Ellen has a deep passion for yoga and for the connection between humans and nature. After moving to Iceland and later to Norway, she began exploring yoga as a tool for self-discovery, balance, and connection with something greater than ourselves. In meeting the wild Nordic landscapes, her wish grew to weave together yogic wisdom with European, earth-based spirituality.
Through the concept Kundalini X Paganism, Ellen creates a space where we can follow the rhythms of nature and rediscover our place in the circle of life. She uses yoga, breath, ritual, and connection with the elements as pathways to inner peace and outer belonging.
Ellen wishes to inspire others to live more in tune with nature, to find balance within themselves, and to remember that we are all part of the same living whole.

FAQ
What's a ceremony?
"Ceremony brings the sacred into ordinary life. We navigate change and welcome new cycles. Performing ceremonies creates a bridge between the material world and the world of the unseen."
We will perform an accessible series of actions and mindfulness, but we will give great metaphorical meaning to these by performing them in a sacred circle. We will create a save container for ourselves and each other. By doing so we open ourselves up to acknowledge the reflextion of nature's cycles in ourself.
What language will be spoken?
A mix of English and Norwegian.
What kind of food will we be eating?
Because of the nature and intention of the retreat,
we will be be eating local meat/fish with many vegetarian/vegan options.
We happily adjust to any food restrictions or allergies you might have:
Make sure to let us know!
